(White Plains, NY) September 21, 2023 – The White Plains Performing Arts Center (WPPAC) is proud to announce the cast for its Mainstage production of IN THE HEIGHTS, playing October 6 – 22.

IN THE HEIGHTS is an award-winning musical about life in Washington Heights, a tight-knit community where the coffee from the corner bodega is light and sweet, the windows are always open, and the breeze carries the rhythm of three generations of music. Written by Tony Award Winners Lin-Manual Miranda and Quiara Alegría Hudes, IN THE HEIGHTS is an authentic and exhilarating journey into one of Manhattan’s most vibrant communities. And with its universal themes of family, community and finding where you belong, IN THE HEIGHTS can be enjoyed by people of all ages and backgrounds.

Leading the cast are Ryan Alvarado (Hamilton National Tour) as Usnavi, Chelsea Zeno as Vanessa, Kassandra Haddock as Nina, Christian Brailsford as Benny, Tami Dahbura as Abuela Claudia, Caroline Huerta as Daniela, Celina Polanco as Camila, Robert Spencer Gabriel as Sonny, Rudy Martinez as Kevin and Rachel Zamorano as Carla. Rounding out the company are Manuela Agudelo, Juliana Andrea Betancur, Emily Esposito, Javier Garcia, Michael Marrero, Ryan Reyes, Jonathan Reyes, Rodolfo Santamarina and Marina Vidal.

“Though the show’s heart is centered around a specific latinx community, this story will resonate with any culture. “Family comes first” and family doesn’t just mean the people you are related to but the human beings you call when you are down and they remind you that you are “Home,” remind you to “Just Breath” and yes, that someone you are close to who knows you take your coffee with “a little bit of cinnamon!” said Director Vincent Ortega.

IN THE HEIGHTS is Directed and Choreographed by Vincent Ortega with Music Direction by Stephen Ferri and features the original Broadway Set designed by Anne Louizos, Lighting Design by Aaron Bowersox, Sound Design by Don Hanna, Costumes by Dustin Cross, Stage Managed by Chelsey Steinmetz. Music and Lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Book by Quiara Alegría Hudes, Conceived by Lin-Manuel Miranda.

IN THE HEIGHTS will play the White Plains Performing Arts Center October 6 – 22 with performances running Thursdays through Sundays.
