This Tony Award-Winning musical is an inspirational journey through 20th century American pop music. DREAMGIRLS chronicles one Motown Girl group’s rise from obscurity to superstardom, full of onstage joy and backstage drama all set in the glamorous and competitive world of the entertainment industry. The score features the hit songs ‘And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going’, ‘I Am Changing’, ‘One Night Only’ and many more!

Created from scratch and staffed with professional directors and designers, these productions feature large LIVE orchestras and boast high-quality sets and costumes.

LAMAR BURNS (Ensemble) Dreamgirls is his first New York City job and he couldn’t be happier! Some previous roles include Catch Me If You Can (Frank Junior), Lyric Theater of Oklahoma’s production of Once On This Island (Armand) and Audrey 2 just to name a few! He would like to thank God, his parents, his teachers, friends and agents for believing in his dreams and sticking by him to pursue them!
JAZMYNE CHARLES (Michelle/Ensemble) is thrilled to be part of this production! Some of her favorite roles have been, Carmen Jones (G.W. Carver Theatre), and Jelly’s Last Jam (Anita, G.W. Carver Theatre). Other credits include Ti Moune in Once on This Island, for which she was honored with a Tommy Tune Award nomination for Best Leading Actress, and Lil Inez in Hairspray, earning a nomination for Best Supporting Actress. She has trained at AMDA and the Manhattan School of Music gaining her BFA in Music Theater. Jazmyne gives all Glory to God and extends her deepest thanks to her family, friends, and mentors—especially her mom (Towanna Charles), Broderick Jones, Roshunda Jones-Kumba, and Jabiri Collins (drama teachers/mentors)—for their unwavering support.
INDYA CHERISE (Ensemble) is so excited to be back at WPPAC again this season! An Arizona native and lifelong lover of storytelling, Indya began her studies at NYU Tisch Drama and finished her musical theatre degree at The New York Conservatory in May 2024. All Glory to God! CAMPBELL WALKER FIELDS (C.C.) is a versatile singer and keyboardist with equal comfort on concert, musical theatre and arena stages. His professional career began when he was cast at the age of nine as the Artful Dodger in Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma’s 2011 production of Oliver!. The following summer he was cast as Foo (Lost Boy) in the world premiere, seven-week run of the musicalFLY at Dallas Theatre Center. Other Lyric productions included Oklahoma!, Big Fish, Mary Poppinsand Les Miserables. While still in high school he began appearing frequently with symphony orchestras. He recently debuted with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and enjoyed return engagements with the Jacksonville Symphony and Camerata Mazatlan. He has appeared with the Florida Orchestra, Tulsa Signature Symphony, Abilene Philharmonic, Dearborn Symphony, Gainesville (FL) Orchestra, Western Piedmont Symphony, Pocono Pops, as well as multiple appearances with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic. He was seen competing in season 11 of NBC’s America’s Got Talent, making it to the middle judges’ cuts round, and has been part of the all-star faculty of the Pocono Mountains Music Festival for the last 7 seasons.
MICHAEL GIVENS (Marty) This is his first production with the WPPAC. Previously, Michael spent time in Denmark performing in the musical, M For Marriage, and most recently, he can be seen in Ocean Spray’s “Just Add Cran” commercial campaign. Michael would like to thank his husband, David for his unflinching support, and being the best reader in town! He would also like to thank the talented cast and crew for this incredible experience.
MANNY HOUSTON* (Jimmy) Originally from Charleston, SC. Manny was last seen on Broadway in Illinoise. Other credits include Broadway Tour: Freestyle Love Supreme: Las Vegas Off-Broadway:Forbidden Broadway: Next Generation, Welcome To The Big Dipper Inn. BRIA HYDRICK (Ensemble) is thrilled to be making her WPPAC debut in Dreamgirls; a show she has loved since she was a kid! Born and raised in New York, Bria is blessed to continue her journey in theater. Her most recent credits include Sister Act (Deloris), RENT (Joanne) and A Bronx Tale (Denise). She recently won Broadway Worlds Rockland/Westchester Best Performer in a Musical for Deloris and was nominated for a NJ Perry Award for Outstanding Performing Actress for Joanne. She is forever grateful for her family, friends, husband David and puppy Colby for all their continued love and support.
ASHLEY LALONDE* (Deena) was recently seen in the hit Broadway musical Hamilton, where she covered all three Schuyler Sisters (Eliza, Angelica, and Peggy/Maria) on the national tour. In addition to Hamilton, Ashley has appeared in several world premiere musicals and plays, including The Black Clown (Lincoln Center), Blood Work (National Black Theatre), Burn All Night (A.R.T.), and Punk Rock Girl (Argyle Theatre). Other favorite credits include Natalie in Next To Normal (Westport Country Playhouse), Dawn in When We Get There (York Theatre), and Sheila in Hair (Connecticut Stage Company). She’s performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Sony Hall, 54 Below, and more, recently debuting her hit solo show to a sold-out audience at the Green Room 42. Ashley’s making her TV debut in a highly anticipated upcoming Netflix series. She made history as the first ever Black woman to star in the Hasty Pudding Show at Harvard, where she graduated early with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, a minor in Theater, a certificate in Spanish, and an award for Artistic Excellence. 1 John 4:16 @ashleylalaa
SYLVESTER MCCRACKEN (Ensemble) is thrilled to be making his WPPAC debut! CHRISTIAN MCQUEEN* (Curtis), a native of Southern California, is an actor and singer based in NYC. A highly sought after vocalist, Christian has performed in renowned venues all over the U.S. on tour and regionally. Some of his notable roles include Gleb in Anastasia (Anastasia National Tour), Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls (Arkansas Repertory Theatre), and Jake in Porgy and Bess (Red Mountain Theatre Company). NYA* (Effie) is thrilled to join the cast of Dreamgirls! A powerhouse vocalist and dynamic performer, Nya captivated audiences on American Idol (Season 22), making it to the Top 14. She has starred in the Broadway revival of Caroline, or Change, mesmerized Off-Broadway as Cleopatra in Cleopatra, and made waves in the hit parody Titanique. Nya has also wowed audiences around the globe as Nina Simone in the featured film and world tour of Soul Doctor. JORDAN MICHAEL OWENS (Ensemble) is a classically trained baritone and performer from Irvington, New Jersey. He has earned his Bachelors in Music Theatre at New Jersey City University. Jordan’s notable acting credits include Ain’t Misbehavin (Ken Page), Ragtime (Coalhouse), and In The Heights (Benny). He was nominated for NJACT Perry Award’s Best Supporting Lead for his portrayal of Benny. He continuously works to hone his craft and strengthen his artistic abilities.
BRIAN PIAZZA JR. (Ensemble) hails from Sacramento, CA, where he grew up singing and dancing with his family. As well as training at the remarkable Musical Mayhem Productions for 10 years. Brian is so honored to be back with WPPAC! You might’ve seen him in Hairspray where he made his professional debut! He’s always wished to use his God-given gifts to spread joy and inspiration. Daysha J Williams recently joined the International Touring Company of STOMP & is currently originating the lead role in Step Show: The Musical.
